Abigail Torrence

Abigail Torence (she/her) is an accomplished musician, lifelong performer, and avid composer. She has played the flute since the 4th grade, adding on the piccolo by the 6th. Despite her small high school’s lack of a music program, Abby persisted in her musicianship and studied the art in college, eventually earning a BA in Music from Chapman University in 2021. After graduating, Abby served a year as a full-time volunteer for the Pacific Symphony, broadening her skillset to work both on and off the stage.

In addition to her instrumental work, Abby is a regular actor and vocalist. Since 2023, she has regularly worked in independent theater in Los Angeles, appearing in original productions as well as established shows such as Into the Woods. She has also brought her expertise backstage, working as a costume designer and social media manager for theater productions.

Abby made her compositional debut when she wrote several songs for the original musical Dis-topia (a show that she would also perform in in 2024). She later returned to her alma mater to compose for two original student productions. She is now actively collaborating with other creatives in L.A. as a songwriter.
